Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a compact and cloud-managed access control solution tailored for single-door environments. This new device seamlessly integrates individual doors into Rhombus’s comprehensive cloud-based security platform, providing enterprises with the ability to manage door access remotely, initiate lockdowns, and connect with a variety of smart sensors.
The DC10’s design is compact and versatile, making it suitable for various settings such as offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and isolated entrances where a larger multi-door controller might be cumbersome. It features one wet/dry relay, one dry auxiliary relay, and four supervised or unsupervised inputs, which facilitate functions like request-to-exit and door position monitoring.
Additionally, the controller is equipped with IK08-rated, plenum-mountable capabilities, allowing installation near protected doors, including above drop ceilings and in other confined spaces. It supports 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, enabling both power and connectivity to be delivered through a single cable while also supporting nearby cameras.
Rhombus’s DC10 includes built-in connectivity options for various sensors, such as environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, as well as panic buttons, with a line-of-sight range of up to 100 meters. Its Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity ensures continuous cloud access, allowing operators to manage doors from remote locations without the need for an on-site server.
This new solution from Rhombus is designed to expand cloud-based access control to smaller or distributed locations, thereby simplifying installation and reducing infrastructure demands. By enabling efficient management of single-door environments, the DC10 Single-Door Controller offers a practical solution for businesses looking to enhance their security measures through advanced technology.
